Design Your Own - with Extra Customisation
Editor guide version 4.2, July 2026
Every Design Your Own sheet is made to order, exactly the way you build it. The editor lives right on the product page, and what you see in the preview is what we print. Here's how it all works.
Getting started
Open any Design Your Own product and you'll find the editor just below the product options. Can't see it? Check that the personalisable option is selected. There's a note above the editor that will point you to the right one.

Build your sheet
1. Pick a sheet style
Some sheets come in more than one colour scheme. Look for the pills near the top of the editor. Each one shows a little preview of its palette, so click through and see which takes your fancy. Your text carries over when you switch, so feel free to try them all.
2. Choose your font
Pick one font for the whole sheet from the font menu. The preview updates straight away, and your stickers print in exactly that font.
3. Type your text
Your stickers are organised into columns, with one tab per column. Type into each row and watch the preview update as you go. A few handy helpers:
- Copy to all rows. The button beside Row 1 copies its text to every row in the column. Perfect when you want a whole sheet of matching labels.
- Click the preview. Click any sticker in the preview and you'll jump straight to its row. Very handy for fixing a typo you've just spotted.
- Need two lines? Press Enter inside the text box to start a second line. Both lines shrink together so everything fits the sticker.
- Long text shrinks to fit. It always will, but shorter text reads better. Around 30 characters is a comfortable maximum for most stickers.
4. Colours
- Colour a whole column at once. The swatches above the rows recolour every sticker in that column in one go.
- Or just one sticker. The colour dot at the end of each row opens that sticker's own menu, where you can set its colour and its text colour.
- Text colour. Choose black or white lettering, or leave it on Default and we'll pick whatever suits each sticker colour best.
The colours you see are our real print colours, so your sheet arrives looking just like your preview. Screens vary a little, but the palette is true to print.
5. Add icons (on selected sheets)
This bit is new! Some sheets, like our custom header sheets, let you pop a little icon on each sticker, sitting right beside your text. If a row shows an icon button next to the text box, that sticker can take an icon.
- Pick an icon. The icon button opens our icon library. Filter by theme (Food, Pets and more) or scroll through the lot, then tap the one you like. Want to keep a sticker plain? Just choose None.
- Your text moves over by itself. Add an icon and your text tucks in neatly beside it. Choose None and the text centres itself across the sticker again. There's nothing to line up, it just happens.
- Icons match your text colour. Each icon prints in the same colour as that sticker's text, including black or white if you've picked one, so everything coordinates on its own.
- Copy to all rows copies the icon too. Set up Row 1 with the icon and text you want, copy it down the column, then tweak any rows that need something different.
Saving and your designs
Good news: your work saves automatically as you type. The little dot near the buttons shows the save status. You can also press Save draft whenever you want to keep a design for later without adding it to your cart.
All your designs live in the strip at the top of the editor. Start a new one, switch between them, or clear out the ones you're finished with. Designs are remembered in your browser, and if you sign in to your account they'll follow you to any device.
Give each design a name under Your reference. It shows on your cart and your order, which makes life much easier when you've got a few designs on the go.
Check it, then add to cart
The preview is your proof. What you see is exactly what we print, so give your spelling and colours a quick look over right there on the page. Happy with it? Hit Add to cart and your cart will show a small picture of your actual design.
Changing a design that's already in your cart
Easily done. Open the product page again, pick the design from the strip at the top of the editor, make your changes, then press Update design. Your cart keeps the updated version, so there's no need to remove it and add it again.
Bulk fill (selected sheets)
Some sheets can be filled from a spreadsheet. If you see Upload CSV, choose a CSV file with one line of text per row and it fills the sheet top to bottom, left to right. A real time saver for class lists and big batches.
Phones and tablets
The editor works happily on your phone. The preview stays pinned to the top of the screen while you scroll through your rows, so you can always see what you're building.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Can't see the editor? Check that the personalisable option is selected in the product choices above.
- Made a mistake? The undo and redo buttons sit next to the cart button (Ctrl/Cmd + Z works too). Reset starts the sheet fresh.
- Text looking small? It's shrinking to fit. Try fewer characters for a bigger, bolder look.
- Design disappeared? Designs are saved in the browser you used. Sign in to your account and they'll follow you between devices.
- Anything else? Get in touch and we'll happily help before you order.
